Stitching a Future: Mohd Asim’s Journey to Independence

Mohd Asim a skilled and hardworking tailor, has always dreamed of building a stable livelihood through his craft. For years, he relied on small stitching jobs, earning just enough to manage daily expenses. While he possessed the skill and determination to do more, limited financial resources held him back from expanding his work.

Everything began to change when Masawat Livelihood Foundation extended its support. With financial assistance of ₹50,000, Asim was able to purchase fabric bundles from Delhi and take a significant step forward in his tailoring journey.

With this support, Asim started expanding his jeans-stitching business, moving beyond simple stitching work to managing his own small production cycle. For the first time, he began buying fabric, stitching the garments himself, and selling the finished products in the market. This shift has opened the door to a more self-sustaining and independent livelihood.

The opportunity has brought a renewed sense of confidence and optimism into Asim’s life. With growing orders and improved income prospects, he now feels hopeful about providing a more secure and dignified future for his family.
